Cryptozoology

I have always been fascinated by the thought that there are creatures in the world that we have not discovered yet, it would be nice to think there were really Yeti's, dragons, seamonsters and giant birds, I would love them to be discovered, but knowing mankind for what it is I would also worry about the safety of these species if they were found. Some big game hunter would like to hunt them, scientists would want to experiment on them and sight seers would flock to their habitats and destroy the ecology in which they live. Sad to think that way but it seems to be the way of man.
